Case description:

A customer contacted us to recover data for his Apple iPhone SE – 128GB. It is a company phone, used by one of their staff, and the staff has left the company a few months ago. Everything worked fine until a week ago, the WhatsApp business on the iPhone stopped working because it requires an update before the user can continue to access it. They unable to update the phone because it requires apple id and password in the app store to update, and they do not have the password. The apple ID belongs to the staff who had left, they tried to contact the staff, but he is unreachable. The phone was not setup for iCloud backup. They are unable to access the WhatsApp business at all and they need the chat history and the contacts. They need the WhatsApp chat history as it contains a lot of important information.

Action (Solution):

After the confirmation, EHDR’s data recovery specialist proceeds to check for their iPhone SE. Everything is working fine, hardware is in good condition. EHDR’s recovery specialist connected the iPhone to our recovery machine and perform a data dumping to extract the data from the phone. Our recovery tools can access the data of the WhatsApp business and recovery the chat history and contacts.

We contacted the customer to come to our center to check the data and they mentioned all the important information from the WhatsApp business were recovered and tally. All the document, photo and video files were playable.

Suggestion
