By default, only the Recycle Bin icon is shown on the Windows 10 desktop. But users want to be able to access the useful desktop icons (e.g. Network, This PC, Control Panel, etc.) and they want to be able to access them on the desktop. To do this all you need to do are these simple steps.
How to Add Desktop Icons on Windows 10
At your desktop, right click and select Personalize
In Settings, Click on Themes > Desktop Icon Settings
Just check on the icons that you want to be displayed on the Desktop. Once done click “OK”.
Click OK when done and the icons will appear on your desktop
